Chief Technology Officer
Matt Murphy, Interim CEO – Matt Murphy, Executive Chairman of the LOGIX board of directors and Partner of Astra Capital Management, has over 20 years of strategic, operational and investment experience in the communications sector. Prior to co-founding Astra, Mr. Murphy served as President of Grande Communications where he successfully led the transformation of the company’s business and turned it into one of the fastest growing Multiple System Operators (MSO) in the country. From 2002 to 2009, Mr. Murphy served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and was part of the founding management team of Atlantic Broadband. From 1998 to 2002, he served in strategic management and investment professional roles with Aprisma Management Technologies (2001 to 2002), Great Hill Partners (1999 to 2001) and Media Communications Partners (1997 to 1999). Mr. Murphy is a member of the Young Presidents Organization, and served on the Austin Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board. Mr. Murphy received a BA in Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
Haresh Shah – Interim CFO – Telecom Industry veteran Haresh Shah serves as our interim CFO. Mr. Shah has a wealth of finance experience, most recently serving as CFO of publicly-traded WelBilt, Inc. After beginning his career as an audit manager with PWC, he has served in senior finance roles with Syniverse, Amkor Technologies and Alcatel Lucent. Leveraging his strong technical skills and his CPA background with solid operational partnership experience, Mr. Shah has successfully completed international assignments in high growth markets – India, China and Philippines. Mr. Shah received his BBA in Accountancy from Baruch College.
Shane Schilling, Chief Technology Officer – Shane joined LOGIX as CTO, in June 2016 with Astra Capital’s acquisition. He is responsible for oversight and management of LOGIX’s Network and IT systems delivering voice and data services.
Shane has over 15+ years of experience in the telecommunications and cable industries, with extensive knowledge in operations and engineering. Before joining LOGIX’s, Shane was responsible for network engineering and services at both Grande Communications and Atlantic Broadband, operating their voice, video and data networks.
He is telecommunications operations executive with a track record of starting up new operations, turning around underperforming operations, and increasing year-over-year revenue. Skilled delivering complex projects on time and within budget; he promotes a collaborative and adaptable environment which can rapidly respond to changing market demands.
Shane has attended the executive management program at Sloan School of Business and has been published in telecommunications trade magazines.
Mary Malsch, Chief Customer Officer – Mary has over 20 years of executive level experience in the telecommunications industry leading Call Center Operations, Customer Care, Program Management and Network Operations focus areas. Her background spans daily sales/network operations, strategic initiative implementation, process optimization and financial management. Her experience includes local, regional and national roles supporting both networks and employees across the US.
She has a proven track record of leading teams through change and establishing and maintaining operational quality, and her experience has led her to be a decisive and results-oriented leader with strong analytical and team building skills. Mary places the high value on customer relationships and assuring that her people are focused on the customer experience.
Mary has a proven record of accomplishment in transforming organizations and creating operational excellence while providing best-in-class service to customers. She brings a wealth of experience across many aspects of telecommunications. Mary has served in a range of leadership roles at Level 3, TW telecom, and US West, building her expertise in areas including customer experience strategy, network, and customer operations, call center operations and process improvement.
Mary holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado State University.
Stephen Erickson, Chief Administrative Officer – Stephen began his career as a litigator at McGinnis Lochridge in Austin, handling business disputes, employment matters and oil and gas issues. He then worked as a corporate and securities lawyer in the Austin office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, focusing on venture capital financings, IPOs, and general corporate matters.
His corporate experience includes Schlotzsky’s, Inc., where he initially focused on corporate governance, SOX compliance and securities matters for the publicly traded company. Stephen worked with Roark Capital, the private equity owner of Focus Brands, on integrating the Schlotzsky’s employees into the larger company.
Shortly before joining LOGIX, Stephen was the General Counsel and Director of Finance for EYE Corp., an out-of-home advertising company based in Sydney with operations in Australia, the US, the UK, Singapore, New Zealand and Indonesia. Stephen managed various real estate matters for EYE, as well as litigation and various other corporate transactions.
Stephen Erickson serves as our Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel, overseeing legal and regulatory matters, the human resources department and real estate leases and facilities.
Stephen graduated with a degree in English with a concentration in American Studies from the University of Virginia, and from Duke University School of Law. He is based in the LOGIX Austin office.
